Scott Bakula Will Star in Reprise! Production of No Strings

Scott Bakula will star as David in the Reprise! Broadway's Best production of No Strings. No other casting has been announced. The musical, with a score by Richard Rodgers and a book by Samuel Taylor, will be directed by Kay Cole; it will run May 8-20 and will open officially on May 9 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.
No Strings tells the story of a successful high-fashion model who meets and falls in love with a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer in Paris. Their lifestyles eventually lead them to part. The show's songs include "The Sweetest Sounds" and "Love Makes the World."

Bakula made his Broadway debut in Marilyn: An American Fable and went on to star in Romance/Romance, for which he received a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. His other theater credits include Shenandoah, Three Guys Naked From the Waist Down, and Nite Club Confidential. He received four Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award for his starring role in the TV series Quantum Leap; among the films in which he has appeared are Necessary Roughness and American Beauty.
